Limited Lifetime Workmanship Warranty

As the original purchaser of custom cabinetry from Caliber Cabinets, Inc. (“Caliber”), you have invested in cabinetry built with the highest quality craftsmanship. We stand behind our work and are proud to offer a Limited Lifetime Workmanship Warranty (“Warranty”) for our custom cabinetry products.

1. WHO IS COVERED?

This Warranty is extended only to the original purchaser and applies solely to Caliber cabinetry installed in the original residential location. It is non-transferable and does not extend to subsequent homeowners or property owners.

2. WHAT IS COVERED?

Caliber warrants that our cabinetry will be free from defects in workmanship under normal residential use, for as long as the original purchaser owns the home in which the cabinets were originally installed.

Covered components include:

  • Cabinet frames, doors, side/back panels, tops/bottoms, drawer fronts, and drawer boxes.
  • Drawer slides and door hinges (which are separately covered under the hardware manufacturer’s limited lifetime warranty).

3. WHAT IS NOT COVERED?

This Warranty does not cover, and Caliber Cabinets, Inc. is not responsible for, the following:

  • Installation performed by anyone other than Caliber Cabinets, Inc. or an authorized Caliber installer. Improper installation by third-party contractors or homeowners will void this Warranty.
  • Defects or damage resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, modification, or improper care.
  • Exposure to excessive moisture, water, steam, direct sunlight, or extreme temperature/humidity variations.
  • Cabinets are not stored or maintained in a climate-controlled environment.
  • Natural wood characteristics, including color, texture, or grain variation; aging or fading of finishes; or hairline cracks at joints due to seasonal changes.
  • Finishes are applied to unfinished or primed items at the jobsite.
  • Normal wear and tear from regular use.
  • Damage caused by cleaning products, chemicals, or other environmental conditions.
  • Labor costs for removal, reinstallation, or transportation associated with warranty service.
  • Custom doors over 26″ wide and/or 48″ high made in one panel at customer request.

4. NATURAL CHARACTERISTICS OF WOOD

Wood is a natural material and may exhibit variations in grain, texture, and color—even within the same species. Over time, natural aging and exposure to light, smoke, or environmental conditions may cause wood and painted finishes to change in appearance. Painted cabinetry may develop minor hairline cracks at door joints, especially in solid wood frames. These are not defects and are not covered under this Warranty.

5. SPECIAL NOTES

Door Warping Tolerances:

  • Doors up to 26” wide × 48” high are covered if warping exceeds ¼ inch.
  • Doors over 26” wide or 48” high are covered if warping exceeds ⅜ inch.

Before filing a claim for warping, remove the door and place it on a flat surface to confirm it meets or exceeds the above tolerances.

Climate Requirements:
Cabinetry must be installed and maintained in a climate-controlled environment to prevent expansion, contraction, or warping. Caliber does not warranty products exposed to conditions outside normal indoor residential use.

6. WARRANTY REMEDY

If a defect covered by this Warranty occurs, Caliber will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the defective part(s) with the same or comparable materials.

  • Replacement parts may vary slightly in color or finish from the original due to natural aging and availability.
  • If original materials or finishes are no longer available, Caliber will provide a substitute of equal or greater value and similar appearance.
  • Caliber reserves the right to modify or discontinue products and finishes without notice.
